Shawna Young is a versatile leader, entrepreneur, educator, and speaker dedicated to empowering diverse communities. Her innovative projects include the Onyx Black Wealth Collective, Mo-saiq, Forward Impact Academy, and Forward Impact Investments, all designed to nurture potential and build legacies.

Shawna’s experience extends to significant roles as the executive director of the Scratch Foundation, Duke Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP), and MIT Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP). She has spent her career providing young people with experiences that develop skills for future leadership and innovation.

As a leader and advisor, Shawna has a proven record in expanding fundraising networks and implementing innovative programs in businesses, philanthropies, and nonprofits. She excels in strategic planning and team-building, reflecting her strength as an executive leader.

Shawna holds a BS in Chemistry from Howard University, a Masters in Science Education from UNC-Chapel Hill, an MBA from MIT Sloan, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Boston University.
